How do I get in touch with you?
An email at rose_ra@mtnhomesd.org is the best way to reach me. Most of my time at school is spent teaching, tutoring, planning, or in meetings. Calling or stopping by is always welcome but not as efficient as emailing. If I do not respond with in 2-3 days, then please do call, as your email might have gotten lost in my spam folder.
What about extra credit?
My philosophy is that students should put their effort into their daily mandatory work. If they are not satisfied with their grade, I will not issue extra assignments to make up for it.
My student lost _________ assignment and can't find it. Can you give him/her another copy?
If it is less than two school days past due and it's a one time request, sure! However, if this becomes a frequent request, let's instead look at why the assignment is missing. Usually, missing assignments are the symptom of a different issue. A disorganized locker, folder, or backpack, maybe? Did the assignment make it home to get completed and then brought back to school? Is your student reviewing the agenda nightly? If this becomes a frequent request, let's talk about some of these things! Please help me teach your student responsibility for their work and their belongings.
Can I get a weekly/ daily progress report?
The front office can help you sign up for Parent Portal where you can check grades anytime you need to. I usually update grades over the weekend..
